Can this be set up indoors?

YES!!! The rink only needs a hard, solid surface. This includes basketball courts or gyms. We will put down a tarp for indoor setups to protect the floor from wear.

Can this be set up on grass?

Not on its own. The rink needs a solid surface. Grass would require subflooring, which will incur additional costs.

What size skates come with the rink?

The most common variety of sizes comes with the rink. This includes kids XS(6j)-L(8) and adults size 8-14.

Will the rink leave marks on the gym floor?

A plastic tarp will be laid under the Roller Rink panels to prevent scratching of the floor surface.  To ensure best results, a completely smooth and flat surface is necessary.

Can a participant use their own skates?

Yes! However, they cannot have toe spikes as that will damage the surface beyond repair. 

Can shoes be worn on the floor?

No, shoes will cause the floor to get too dirty, preventing skates from gliding properly. Anyone on the floor without skates should wear socks

What is synthetic ice made of?

Synthetic ice is made from high-density, lubricated polyethylene panels. These panels interlock tightly to create a seamless surface that mimics the feel of real ice without any refrigeration.

Is skating on synthetic ice the same as real ice?

While very similar, skating on synthetic ice requires slightly more effort, generally about 10-15% more glide-force than real ice. However, it's perfect for practice, recreational skating, and provides an authentic experience for all skill levels.

How far in advance should I book my rink rental?

We recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks in advance for guaranteed availability, especially during peak seasons like November and December.
